Côr Meibion Tonnau

The Welsh male voice choir is a Welsh institution, associated with the coal mining communities of South Wales. These choirs have their routes in Methodism, and their repertoires are particularly strong on hymns. Although many of the communities which spawned them have turned up their toes, the choirs are hangingin.
So if you enjoy singing?? You do not need to have the best voice, merely a love for singing and the ability to blend with other voices singing around you.

Come along to Tonna Primary School on Mondays at 7pm or Wednesdays at 7.30pm

Anyone with news, events and any goings on in the village of Tonna

Please contact Mrs Pat King on pat.king87@gmail.com, so she can place your news in the weekly Neath Courier newspaper.

Formed from humble origins as a motoring part of the then Steel Company of Wales social club in the early ‘sixties, and becoming Port Talbot Motor Club in 1965, PTMC has gone from strength to strength, changing greatly along the motorsporting milestones, but retaining what has proved to be a successful formula, and prospering nearly forty years on, in a motorsporting world where many other local clubs have sadly disappeared.

We meet every Thursday Evening at Tonna RFC Clubhouse at 8.00pm, so come and join us one Thursday.

Tonnau has recently formed a new local WI group, who meet on 2nd Monday of every month at Tonnau Primary School.

Tonna AFC are a village football club who currently have numerous senior and junior teams who compete in the local Neath & District senior football leagues, the West Glamorgan junior leagues, and the local Sunday mini-football tournaments at Cwrt Herbert sports centre.
