After the second half performance against Mumbles coaches DAP and Adrian were worried what team would show up.Tonna went on to the field and produced the type of rugby that that they are capable of.The firsthalf was evenly contested with the only try being scored by the home side given away by some silly back chatting to the referee....HALF TIME Treherbert5 Tonna 0.The second half started with the home side being denied by some excellant defence from the Tonna side.Evetually constant pressure resulted in the home side crossing for their second and third try converting one.The score remained 17-0 with ten minutes to go then Tonna ran the ball from their own half with forwards and backs all supporting each other with Tonna crossing to make the final score TREHERBERT 17-TONNA 5. Tonna 14's Verses New Dock Stars
After postponements and the festive break they finally had a game after 4 weeks. The boys played with some encouragement in the first half. After finding themselves 3 tries down they woke up just on half time with a Josh James try on his return after a lengthy layoff.
Whatever was said at half time they kept the stars pinned down in their half for the majority of the game with great running from Ben Doyle just being denied a try. This was followed with a superb William Bowen try converted by Jordan Adderley. Great pressure followed with Jordan Adderley touching down
This was a very encouraging display

Tonna v Brynamman
As forecast last week Tonna’s first win of the season arrived with a well deserved victory over Brynamman. The first half was a bit slow, with the boys not performing at their best, but they still managed to get to half time with the scores level with two converted tries a piece.
Half Time Score - Tonna 14 - Brynamman 14
After the break the boys pulled out all the stops and set a precedent for the rest of the season. The second half was played almost entirely within the opposition’s half, with the team – for they really performed as a team – outplaying and outscoring Brynamman two tries to nil. Unfortunately, Josh James was unable to replicate his first half 100% record, but made a good effort from two very difficult conversion attempts form out wide. Try scorers were Connor Perkins with two and Jack Lloyd and Jordan Adderley with one each. Credit goes to all the team for the tremendous effort put into an enjoyable if somewhat bruising game, which left the coaches with the extremely difficult choice of who to pick for “man of the match”.

After a great deal of discussion Rhodri Pearce was selected for a stand out performance which included some great tackling and a superb catch and return attacking run which set up the last try of the game.
Lets here it for the boys!!

New Dock Stars v Tonna
Tonna started the new season with a difficult away tie against a very powerfull stars 15. Their huge pack took full advantage scoring 4 quick tries in the first 20 mins leaving Tonna wondering how to cope with their pack. Johnny Foley captained the side and brought his pack together and started to develop a rucking not mauling game which brought them some ball before half time.
Half time score -  Stars 26 - 0 tonna
After a half time a few of the Tonna players such as Johnny Foley , Dan Dickinson , Mike Turner Kyle and others of the team set up a quick rucking game which changed the game and Tonna started to apply pressure. This resulted in no.12 and centre Tom Blizzard racing over for a second try who he converted. Kris Stephens run and tackeld everything.
